Inexpensive 35mm / Film Cameras
With the digital revolution in cameras traditional 35mm cameras are becoming cheaper. I don't believe digital will ever completely take over just as e-mails will never completely replace letters.
Canon has been making professional standard cameras and lenses for many, many years. Their optics are amongst the very best around and the lens is a VERY Important part of any camera. I, for one, would probably look for a specialist camera maker first if I was searching for any kind of photographic package, be it digital, APS or 35mm.

The most important piece of the puzzle when deciding on a 35mm camera is considering the lenses you'll need/want, as this will be the biggest investment. Canon and Nikon are good choices because they offer the largest, most widely available lens supply. A good Canon entry-level SLR is the Canon T2. It is the best value for your money.
